The failure of the Lincoln building’s elevator caused the residents of this building to worry too much and they complained to the building’s management.
The breakdown of the elevator of the Lincoln building and the concern of its residents
Residents of the Lincoln apartment complex on Galapago Street reported the failure of the elevator in this 10-story building. This is not the first time that the elevator of this building breaks down. Some residents claim that the living conditions in this complex are very difficult in the past few weeks due to the malfunction of the elevator.
Nathan Cummings, a resident of the complex, said: “The elevator has been broken for seven months now and we have to climb the stairs.” He also said: “It is much more difficult to use the stairs because of the extreme heat.”
In addition to the breakdown of the Lincoln building’s elevator, residents also complain about other issues such as the lack of security, broken garage doors, and the presence of bats in the building. According to tenants, management is not responsive to concerns and requests. Some tenants with disabilities were extremely inconvenienced during the time the elevator service was down, adding that they had to walk down the stairs.
Last week, the building management said that due to the high temperature, the drives had problems and the elevator was out of order.
“We are working to repair at least one of the building’s elevators,” the building’s management said in an email to residents. Major repairs will take a lot of time and we thank the residents in advance for their patience.”
