KONE won the order to provide a series of vertical transportation solutions for the installation of elevators in Hainan Center Tower (formerly Haiku Tower). The development is in the heart of the new business district in Haikou, the capital city of Hainan, a tropical island in southern China.
With a height of 428 meters, Hainan Center Tower is expected to become the tallest free-standing structure in Hainan and the only super-tall skyscraper above 400 meters in the region. This building covers an area of 51 hectares, the total construction area of which is 96 hectares. The project is expected to be completed in late 2026.

KONE has received an order for 31 KONE MiniSpace DX elevators. These elevators are known as the fastest elevators and move at a speed of 10 meters per second. In addition, 20 KONE MonoSpace DX elevators and 36 KONE TravelMaster 110 escalators will also be installed in this building for the elevator installation in Hainan Center Tower.
