More than 100 elevators in multi-story buildings in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, will be replaced this year. Mairambek Samanchiv, director of the municipal corporation, announced that the replacement of the elevator in the Kyrgyz capital was discussed at the meeting of the permanent housing and social services committee of the Bishkek city council.
He stated that about 70% of elevators in Bishkek have passed their useful life and need to be replaced. In 2023, 100 elevators have been replaced and the same number is targeted for this year.
This project is implemented in order to improve the safety and quality of life of residents and improve urban services in Bishkek.
