The American Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) explores the life story of Judith Resnick with the publication of an e-book by IEEE. Judith Resnick is a female engineer and member of the space shuttle Challenger crew. This book is the fifth book in the series “Famous Women Engineers in History”.
The story is about a woman who didn’t want to be known as a female astronaut, but as an astronaut. Judith Resnick and her crew died in the 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger explosion.
The publication of the e-book by IEEE, which is a non-profit organization serving the public interest, aims to bridge the gap between the various roles of women and highlight their role in the engineering profession.
