The police announced on Thursday that the death of a 14-year-old girl due to an elevator accident in Duhok led to the beheading of this displaced girl. According to police and fire department reports, this incident happened at 18:00 local time in one of the apartments in Nowruz city in Dohuk province.
The police added: “The elevator doors were accidentally closed on the girl due to a technical fault, resulting in her neck getting stuck between the doors; This caused the death of a 14-year-old girl due to an elevator accident.”

This girl was from Zammar, one of the cities in the northwest of Mosul, who moved to Duhok with her family in 2014. The body of this girl has been sent to Dohok morgue and the police investigation has started on this incident.
