Korea’s Otis Elevator Company has renovated elevators for major projects including Gangnam Financial Center and Seoul Financial Center, both high-rise buildings. The renovation of the elevators of two high-rise buildings in Korea was carried out in these projects.
Both buildings are owned by GIC Private Limited and managed by CBRE, the world’s largest commercial real estate manager. Otis Korea started renovating the elevators in 2021 and the project was finally completed in October 2023. Otis Korea also secured five-year maintenance contracts for both buildings.
Jaehyup Kim, president of Otis Korea MOD, who oversaw the projects, said, “These projects clearly demonstrate why Otis is the world’s leading elevator company and demonstrate our commitment to safety and quality.

Profile of Gangnam Financial Center
Gangnam financial center is about 206 meters high; This building has 45 floors above ground and eight floors below ground. The building’s systems include 16 high-speed Otis elevators and 16 conventional elevators and 10 escalators, all of which have been refurbished by Otis.
The renovation of the elevators of two high-rise buildings in Korea, including these buildings, demonstrates the capabilities of Otis. The Seoul Financial Center is 124 meters high and has 30 floors above the ground and eight floors below.
Otis Korea has renovated 30 elevators and escalators, including 16 high-speed elevators, 10 low-to-medium speed elevators, and four escalators.
