The Expats.cz news agency announces the opening of the elevators at the Prague metro station in Jiřího z Poděbrad, located in Vinohrady. This station is now the 47th station in the Prague Metro network.
Each elevator has the capacity to carry 21 people with a maximum load of 1600 kg. The first phase of the installation and commissioning of the elevators has been completed. In addition to the elevators, the project includes the construction of a second exit from the station and an emergency stairway around both elevator shafts.

Similar projects, including escalator replacements and improved access, are planned for nearby stations. It will take nearly three years to complete this project. The estimated cost of this project was approximately 500 million kroner (21.5 million US dollars).
