Hyundai Nuri Bodeum Group improves the quality of life of the needy by doing voluntary repairs in Chongju nursing homes.
Voluntary home repairs in Chongqing by Hyundai Nuri Bodrum Group
Hyundai Elevator employees visited old residential facilities, including nursing homes, in the Cheongju district to conduct voluntary repairs. On September 28th and October 18th, about 10 members of Hyundai Elevator Domestic Volunteer Club visited nursing homes in Changju and volunteered to repair various parts of their old and dilapidated homes. They carried out activities to improve the living environment by replacing and cleaning old and neglected items such as wallpaper, flooring, paint, sinks and lights.
Hyundai Nuri Bodeum’s voluntary repair volunteer group consists of those who have completed foreign training or have professional qualifications in electricity, wallpaper, plumbing and other fields that require expertise to carry out systematic and practical voluntary repairs. They also receive basic safety training before volunteering to repair homes.
Since its establishment in 2005, this group has been voluntarily repairing houses every year due to the deterioration of residential facilities in the region. In total, it has helped 132 local households, including 121 families in Icheon and 11 families after moving to Chunju in 2022, to live in a more pleasant and safe environment.

The company also actively supports the Hyundai Nuri Bodeum volunteer group. It provides 6 million won annually to the volunteer group and provides paid leave to employees twice a year.
Hyundai Nuri Bodeum volunteer group, in addition to voluntary home repairs, also do many other activities such as helping the son and daughter of the head of the household, helping the elderly and disabled, helping with rural work such as fruit growing and cleaning.
An official of the Hyundai volunteer group said: “Helping to improve the quality of life and housing stability of the needy people in the region is very enjoyable for us. Also, we will continue to carry out various activities for the growth of local quality.”
In celebration of its 40th anniversary this year, Hyundai Elevator stated that all members of society, beyond shareholders, employees, partners and the local community, must grow together.
