The Hitachi Engineers Safety and Skills Competition was announced by Hitachi and is held at the company’s premises. The participants of the competition were elevator or air-conditioning equipment engineers working for Hitachi Group companies in Japan and overseas. The Hitachi Engineers Safety and Skills Competition aims to enhance the maintenance and installation skills and safety awareness of global engineers.
52 people were selected from 11 domestic and overseas organizations, including six branches of Hitachi Building Systems, Okinawa Hitachi, ELCARE, Hitachi Elevator (China), and Hitachi Elevator Asia. The participants of the competition were also from Hitachi Elevator Engineering (Malaysia). They participated in four categories: elevator and escalator maintenance and repair, legal inspection, installation and maintenance, and practical skills.
Hitachi hosted the first Hitachi Engineers Safety and Skills Competition in 1992, in which engineers from domestic branches and Hitachi Group companies participated. The Overseas Safety Competition for Elevator and Escalator Maintenance was launched in 2007 and was attended by participants from overseas Hitachi Group companies. In the latest competition, the safety and safety and skills competitions were merged, and overseas engineers joined the competition for the first time in six years.
Hitachi Building Systems helps improve employee performance and enhance their skills and initiatives through the Hitachi Engineers Safety and Skills Competition and other internal competitions and training programs.
