The construction of new towers in Brooklyn, including five 27-story towers, will transform the city center into a modern residential project.
Construction of new towers in Brooklyn; 5-tower project in downtown
New York YIMBY reported earlier this month that demolition has been completed at 275 Flatbush Extension in downtown Brooklyn, New York, to make way for a connected complex of five 27-story towers, each 293 feet tall, containing 350 residences. The towers were designed by J Fankl Architects and developed by Jacob Kohn of Jay Group. The new towers in Brooklyn will feature 90 residences per structure and two basement levels.

Jacob Kohn purchased six adjacent lots for the 39,000-square-foot complex at Flatbush Extension and Willoughby Street in a $75 million deal. The new towers in Brooklyn will feature a zoning diagram that will form a J-shaped massing that will gradually end in a flat, separate wall.
No timeline has been released for the completion of the new towers in Brooklyn. The development is also set to take place next to a 12-story residential building at 167 Willoughby Street.
