KONE installs elevators and escalators in Cambodia

KONE announced on January 9 that it has been awarded a comprehensive vertical transportation (VT) contract by Chinese foreign investment company Peninsula Bay Investment to provide a range of People Flow solutions to the Peninsula Integrated Resort in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. The project aims to attract foreign tourists and businesses and is scheduled to open in 2026. Installing elevators and escalators in Cambodia as part of this major project is a key initiative for KONE.

KONE’s contract includes the installation of 38 N MonoSpace elevators, two S MonoSpace elevators, 57 MiniSpace elevators, 10 high-speed MiniSpace elevators and one TranSys heavy-duty elevator. In addition, 20 TravelMasterTM 110 commercial escalators will be installed, along with the KONE E-LinkTM monitoring system. The installation of the elevators and escalators in Cambodia will be carried out using KONE’s advanced technologies in cooperation with local company Octech Electric.

KONE is only responsible for the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning, and maintenance of these systems will be carried out by a local elevator company called Octech Electric.
